  • Andrew Inwood

    Andrew Inwood is the founder and principal of CoreData and has more than 30 years’ experience in the Australian financial services industry. He started his career at Rothschild Australia Asset Management where he headed the marketing team, before moving to AMP Investments where he spent more than a decade. During his time at AMP, he was seconded to Virgin Direct in the UK to help establish the finance and investment arm of the group.

    Andrew returned to Australia to be marketing director of Wizard Home Loans. From Wizard he moved to Telstra where he spent three years as general manager of applications and hosted services, before leaving to start CoreData. In the past 20 years, CoreData has expanded out of Sydney to have offices in Perth, London, Boston and Manila.

    Andrew is the author of more than 50 pieces of significant research into clients and their behaviour and has a particular focus on the value of the client experience in financial services. He is a highly regarded speaker and has delivered keynote speeches in every Australian capital city, London, Edinburgh, New York, Tokyo, Queenstown, Monaco and Berlin.

    Andrew has served on a number of charity and sporting club boards and been a seed investor in and director of a number of start-up businesses, particularly in the online sector, a practice which he continues to this day.

    He has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney ASIA.

    Ervin Sim

    Ervin has over a decade of experience in market research, across a wide breadth of industries including finance, government, transport, education and media. His specialisation is in understanding audiences and delivering insights into what drives them. Prior to joining CoreData, he worked with organisations such as EY and Nielsen, consulting with clients on the voice of the customer programs as well as employee experience research. His depth of understanding of the research industry also includes having worked at a global panel company Cint, and a sessional lecturer and academic researcher.

    Ervin has a PhD from the University of Adelaide.

    Sharona Ghaemmaghami

    Sharona is an Operations Manager at CoreData. She is primarily responsible for supporting and contributing to the sales team’s efforts and client management activities, as well as the production of proposal documents and related materials. Sharona also has experience conducting research in the financial advisory space, leveraging CoreData’s syndicated data to produce insights and thought leadership work on topics such as diversity, trust, and demographic drivers of adviser choice.

    Sharona holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Macquarie University. Prior to joining CoreData, she spent time gaining experience in the retail industry where she was responsible for sales, merchandising and inventory.

    Aymon Blundell

    Aymon is a research consultant at CoreData. His responsibilities include research design and implementation, data analysis and research report writing.

    He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, where he majored in Marketing and minored in Spanish and Latin American studies. Before working at CoreData, Aymon previously worked for market research consultancy EY Sweeney, as well as other various roles in the advertising and market research industries where he was able to develop his acumen for using data to create actionable business insights.

    Heath Morgan

    Heath is a research consultant at CoreData where his responsibilities are to support the successful delivery of Client and CoreData research projects. Heath has completed a Bachelor of Business from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), where he majored in Entrepreneurship and minored in Marketing and Economics. Heath’s prior work experience was an internship at a private equity firm, BRC Capital where his role was to produce competition analysis reports and other research tasks.

    Anna Vennonen

    As a research consultant at CoreData, Anna's responsibilities include research design and delivery, data analysis and reporting.

    Anna holds a Master of Social Sciences in socio-cultural anthropology from the University of Helsinki, and a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and digital humanities from the Australian National University.

    Prior to joining CoreData, Anna undertook funded ethnographic research into cryptocurrency adoption, exploring user's motivations, trust, and the social construction of value in the crypto scene. Alongside an academic background in qualitative research, Anna has worked across project delivery and assessment for national grant programs in the federal government.

    Alana Devitt

    Alana is a Research Consultant at CoreData. Her responsibilities include research design and implementation, data analysis and research report writing.

    She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) from the Maynooth University, Ireland, along with a diploma in Digital Business. Before working at CoreData, Alana previously worked for market research agency Core Research in Ireland where she worked across numerous sectors including the finance sector, she also worked for Accenture helping clients build their digital marketing strategies from the ground up. This allowed her to gain a passion for finding the story behind the data to create actionable change for clients.

  • Kristen Turnbull

    Kristen is founding director of CoreData WA and deputy managing director of CoreData Group. Kristen has more than 15 years’ experience running market research projects across Australia and founded the WA business in 2017. She understands the importance of building relationships and has done so across multiple industries, where she continues to leverage her strong interpersonal skills.

    Starting her career in journalism, Kristen’s strengths include interviewing and research design, written communication, overseeing large, complex projects, and building and maintaining high trust relationships with clients and peers. Graduating from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2019, she has a solid understanding of governance and risk, and is able to manage highly sensitive client projects with stringent data privacy requirements, including for banks and superannuation funds. Kristen is a non-executive director of disability services not-for-profit, Intelife, and a Business News 40 under 40 2022 winner.

    Kristen has an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW), a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism, with Distinction) from Curtin University and is a Qualified Professional Researcher (QPR) via the Research Society.

    Alison Sweet

    Alison is a career researcher and has worked in a range of industries and capacities for more than 15 years. As Head of Strategy and Insights, she is responsible for the design and delivery of strategic client solutions, and our ongoing growth partnerships.

    Leveraging strong research design, data analysis and visualisation capabilities, her focus is on uncovering evidence-based strategic opportunities and insights, and crafting compelling data-driven narratives that build understanding and capability. Her expertise includes employee and workforce, education and training, consumer and social research. She has a keen interest in understanding the context and drivers of attitudes, behaviours and decisions and has worked with youth, people with disability, Indigenous and CaLD stakeholder groups and research participants.

    An advocate for industry engagement with the education sector, Alison is the Chair of a TAFE industry advisory group. She holds qualifications in science, education and business, is a full member of the Research Society, and a Qualified Professional Researcher (QPR).

    Kristy Felton

    Kristy has over 18 years’ experience providing organisations with strategic advice and insights to help them deeply understand their consumers and markets. Her areas of expertise include brand health tracking, brand positioning, understanding customer decision-making, and campaign pre-testing, tracking and evaluation.

    Kristy is a strategic thinker, leveraging her extensive background in understanding customer mindset and behaviour to formulate recommendations that are highly valued by our clients. She has extensive brand health, campaign evaluation and client satisfaction research experience, having led projects for Ability WA, Rocky Bay, Early Start Australia, MyIntegra, Juniper, Horizon Power, Roy Hill, Plico, Kleenheat, Synergy, Peet and WA Museum, among many others.

    Prior to joining CoreData in 2021, Kristy held consulting roles at Synovate and Faster Horses Consulting, as well as an internal research role at LandCorp where she specialised in understanding consumer behaviour and trends within the property sector. Kristy has a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing, with Distinction) from Curtin University.

    Tala Anabtawi

    Tala has worked in numerous research roles over the last 13 years, in market research and tertiary education settings. She has extensive experience working with large, complex data sets, most recently as Senior Market Analyst at Murdoch University.

    Tala's key skills span analysis of primary and secondary data sets, market intelligence gathering, and data visualisation through designing and building Power BI and Tableau dashboards.

    Prior to joining CoreData WA, she spent six years in research roles at IPSOS in Dubai and Perth, and five and a half years at Murdoch University.

    Tala has a Marketing Masters from Kingston University and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto.

    Noomayra Mahbub

    Noomayra has eight years’ experience managing research projects and teams. Prior to joining CoreData, she held consulting roles at Kantar Millward Brown and Faster Horses Consulting. Noomayra has worked on projects for well-known brands across SE Asia, including Unilever and PepsiCo, Juniper, Ability WA, Rocky Bay, Synergy, Western Power, Horizon Power, The Perth Mint, Kleenheat and many other organisations locally.

    Her key area of expertise is in quantitative methodology, working on brand and campaign impact tracking projects to help shape clients’ strategic direction. She also has extensive experience using Q, a data and verbatim analysis software with statistical and data visualisation capability. Noomayra has experience managing project workflows and external fieldwork partners, including on large, multi-country and multi-division inclusive, complex projects, and working with geographically dispersed team members.

    Noomayra has a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from UWA.

    Henry Fagan

    With over six years’ research experience, Henry has a strong focus on secondary research, survey design, data analysis and reporting. Prior to joining CoreData, Henry worked in strategy and research roles in the not-for-profit sector. Here he drove structural change through research and insights contributions to strategic plans and major projects, including Football West’s 2018-2022 Strategic Plan and the Global Slavery Index.

    Henry has extensive experience working on brand tracking and customer experience research for clients in the aged care, disability services and financial services sectors. He manages fieldwork coordination for a range of clients, including projects which require careful management of complex respondent quotas.

    Henry has a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society and Psychology and Master of Law, Policy and Government from UWA.

    Joshua Tan

    Joshua is a market research professional with more than two and a half years of experience. He combines his keen interest in data and strategy to help clients solve business problems through technical expertise and an analytical mindset.

    A research consultant at CoreData, Joshua’s specialty areas lie in brand and marketing strategy, customer experience and acquisition strategy, brand and campaign tracking, and social research. He has worked with public sector, commercial, and not-for-profit clients across a wide range of industries.

    Joshua is well-versed in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, having utilised numerous statistical modelling and predictive analysis techniques for clients as well as synthesising high volumes of complex qualitative data.

    He has a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Marketing) from UWA.

    Ana De Veyra

    Ana joined CoreData in 2022 to provide administration and project support to the team. Her role at CoreData is diverse, incorporating research recruitment and scheduling and project record-keeping, data entry and filing in accordance with the requirements of CoreData’s Research Society membership and ISO-accreditation requirements.

    Ana has considerable customer service experience from prior roles and is a former Treasurer for the Curtin University Film Production Society, where she managed and was responsible for the club’s financial administration.

    Ana has completed a Certificate III in Business and is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce (Finance) at Curtin University.
